One of Roland’s most popular new features is built into the GW-8: the multi-format Song Player that allows song data to be played directly from USB Flash memory (accepts MP3, .WAV, AIFF and SMF format). In addition, the GW-8’s Center Cancel function can minimize main vocals from pre-recorded songs, great for karaoke-style performances or music practice.

Style Converter & Playlist Editor
Bundled with each GW-8 is Roland’s Style Converter software for PC, which lets you create and convert your own MIDI data into GW-8 backing styles and install them via commercially available USB Flash memory devices. Also included is the Playlist Editor for customizing the order of songs. Users can easily create a dedicated Playlist for each gig.

DP-8, DP-2 pedals

These might be more useful than you think! The DP-8 is a great quality pedal that is a LOT nicer to use as a damper pedal with your keyboard than the cheaper style pedals. The "half-pedaling" feature is nice, and can really add to the expressiveness of your music when used correctly, and with a sound setup to use it.

The DP-2 is great for use with punching in with some of the recording gear, or for use as a switch for additional controls - you can use it to turn your leslie effect on and off, for example.

DP-8

The Roland DP-8 Damper Pedal is the perfect choice for keyboard players who want the most realistic pedal action, thanks to new half-pedal support. When used with compatible instruments, this function allows the sustain length to be varied depending on how deep the pedal is pressed. The versatile DP-8 can also be used a simple pedal switch.
